first impressions

I would reccomend to all, regardless boys or girls. make sure they have good equipment and clothes. Being cold and wet is part of what we do, it should not be what the first hunting experiences are about. The first year I had my son hunt with me all I told him was to get comfortable carrying the gun. He has better boots better coveralls and better parka than I have. Soon enough he will learn about budgets and compromise. Let them be comfortable and they will come back for more. He did not get much game the first year. However when he was hounding me about combination tages in May the next year I knew we had good time coming.
