New S&W 460

First off I just wanna say this sight is awesome I've been looking for something like this for a while. As for the 460 I'm always up for new potent big bore revolvers and I'm a big lover of the 500 smith, but as for the 460 being the fastest I'm not sure. Just hear me out, every single bit of loading dat I can find for the 500 only loads to a max psi of 50,000 and that is already pushing a 275 gr. at a bit over 2100fps. Smith n Wesson says it's a 60,000psi cartridge and SAAMI says it's a 60,000psi cartridge. Smith n Wesson has tested the 500 cylinder to 120,000psi. My question is why isn't anyone loading to that limit? The 44 mag isn't all that much smaller then the 454 casull granted roughly 8 grain difference but the 454 is a 65,000psi to a 50,000psi and there is quite a difference in ballistics so what would the performance be of the 500 if loaded to 60,000psi? if anyone knows of where I can find the data by all means direct it to me I would love to try them and see what it will do

Send me an e-mail and I will forward the reload data I got from Hornady. It is for the 240 and 300 gr. XTP's :D

It's tied with the 480 Ruger as being the most interesting handgun hunting round developed in a long time.  I like the 460 concept a lot and I hope it does well in the market.
