another barrel question

im gettin the .308 and it says it comes with off set hammer spur why does this come with the barrel?? also ive decided on my barel after the 308 the 44 with open sights  were gona go back packin durin deer seson and try and shoot a small one to eat up there.

When you scope that .308 you'll see why it comes with the offset hammer spur.  There is no room for your thumb to cock the hammer on a scoped Handi if you don't have an offset spur attachment on the hammer.  Good luck with you r new barrels. Let us know how they shoot.
