Went into my local gunshop today to "look" around and ended up buying a 10/22. Just couldnt pass it up. It has a ButlerCreek bull barrel, and a Boyds Dakota Will Nutmeg laminated stock. Just liked the feelof that stock.
Havent shot it yet though as we have a 1/4 inch layer of ICE on everything here :cry: . I'll let ya'll know how she shoots.

Them shoot pretty good in some rifles Rick and for the price are not bad plinking ammo. Try some of the Wolf target ammo in your new gun in some guns it really shoots well. Both my Romanian 69 bolt action trainer and my Walther copy pistol like it.

I am going to town today. Figure I will pick up several different brands and try them out. I have never tried the Wolf ammo but I here good things about it. Unfortunatly I dont here good things about the Butler Creek barrel. Guess I will just have to try it out.

The good news is that if your barrel isn't what you want replacing it is no sweat. And you will have no problem selling the one you have on ebay. I put a Green Mountain on mine when I built it and it works great. There are lots of other good choices as well.

Most of all have some fun with your new rimfire.

I have GM barrels on a 45/70 and 2 muzzle loaders they are great barrels. I do not want to get into the whole Fixing up a 10/22 scene but if I did it would have a GM barrel they are great barrels. You could always keep the butler for a blasting barrel. :grin:

Pics, Pics, Can you post a picture for us to see?

PS: Try CCI Blazer 22LRs - They are inexpensive and shoot well in many rifles.
