From what I've heard, they work pretty well for whitetail.  I don't have any first hand experience with mine. NE regs don't allow semi-autos that hold more than six rounds to be used for deer :( .  If it was legal, I'd load up some 200gr XTP's as fast as I could safely push them and go hunting.  HTH! :D

buddy shot a hog last year with a warm loaded 10 in a 610 smith with a harcast 200 round flat and it did a great job.
