Casting Shot
« on: January 31, 2005, 12:48:00 AM »
I'm looking into casting my own shot 6's and 7.5's with a Magma shot maker.

My question is how much antimony do I add to pure lead?

Or can I use my straight WW?

Help me out guys.

Thanks Warf

I've found the % of antimony thats put into the different kinds of shot "chilled and magnum".

Now my question is whats the hardness of pure lead with say 5-7% antimony?

And the hardness of pure WW?

Thanks Warf

Warf, the experts on shot are at www.shotgunworld.com. They are using wheelweights.
