my son bought a used rifle w/a pentax lightseeker 3-9x40 (not the current lightseeker I available now). it's around 4+ years old and is rather heavy (20 oz) but optics seem good. any comments on this scope appreciated.

I have the same scope on a 30 - 06.
Great scope!
It is brighter than my Leupold Vari X III.
At least to my eyes.
