Rustyinfla,  I don't know about the model 88.  I have a Topper 163 with  30/30, 20ga. and .410ga. barrels.  I guess it would depend on whether the mod. 88 is a shotgun or rifle receiver.  I can't help but believe that if it's a mod. 88 barrel and your gun is a mod. 88 then it should fit fine and work even better.

Others here will know the answer. :-)

I just looked at this auction. It's already up to $51. How high do these things usually go? that seems a bit high when you don't even know if it will work on your  reciever.

Rusty, the cost is probably due to the fact that this barrel is for an older receiver and NEF doesn't manufacture them anymore,... they are in short supply, therefore demand is higher.  You might want to open a new post and ask your questions about your receiver and that particular barrel under the new post.  Sorry, I don't know the answers.
