On a recent-vintage Browning/Winchester 1885 Hi-Wall, would changing the caliber be a matter of only changing the barrel and ejector ... or are there other differences in the receiver & "works" between calibers?

PeterF,
I am not an expert on 1885's, but I think you'd have to consider the firing pin location too, when going from centerfire to rimfire or in reverse.
