Just ordered First Handi
« on: February 01, 2005, 05:57:23 PM »
I just ordered my first handi. A stainless synthetic 22-250 with a bull barrel. Hope that it shoots good. I was on the NEF website and said that the accessory barrel offer is only good in the U.S how could I get more barrels if I am in Canada?? Thanks guys, great informative site!

Unfortunately, you can't get an accessory barrel sent to Canada, H&R won't, period. Fred M is a Canadian and has given it much effort to no avail.

Afraid so, and a used barrel at that..... It's not hard to do if you are handy with hand tools, and a lot of em will fit without any changes.

Honay, Do you have a friend just south of your border within close driving distance from you who could ship & receive the gun for you?  Would you be able to bring it acrcoss the boarder?  It's not like you are getting a new gun, it's a gun you already own that you are just having work done on so I would think that it would be okay.  What part of the Great White North are you in? Maybe someone from this forum who lives in a Northern state could help you out.

I live near Edmonton Alberta. So I am about 7 hours from the border. Soit would be a bit of a trek!
