?629 Classic .44mag Disassembly?
« on: February 01, 2005, 07:38:02 PM »
I have this wonderful revolver in the 8 3/8" version-and love it! Probably my fAVORITE gun(although theres that .375 and that Model 12 and that SKS and oh that new .308). Anyway, is it possible to take the cylinder and ejector off for cleaning? I must have all my guns spotless you know and this seems to be the only spot I can't get to. Its driving me crazy.
Please help.  Thanks a lot

Yes..its easy!   The screw on the side of the frame underneath the cylinder is the cylinder release.  Unscrew it...carefully without messing up the slot..

After the screw is out open the cylinder and slide the whole crane assembly off by pushing it foward toward the barrel end.

Hard to explain but easy to do.

Dont however take the ejector off.  Just extend it and clean underneath..will save you a lot of aggravation!

Good luck...Shultzy
