i got the new henry catalog and it looks like they have come out with a scope rail for the goldenboy! any1 know anything on these mounts and how they work? :grin:

Is it the Cantlever sysem they had before? If it is this type of system seems to work well from what I have seen. Jim

its in the new 2005 henry catalog showing a goldenboy with a scope on it..check it out and tell me how it bolts on.. :D

Ok it is the Cantilever system and you need a gunsmith to install it as it looks like it bolts to the barrel and the Henry site says **  Requires Gunsmith Installation.  This would be one project I would not tackle I would let a smith do it. Should not cost that much to do most smiths charge anywhere from a low of 8 bucks a hole which is dirt cheap to a high of 20 bucks a hole and considering where they are drilling and the jig and equip to do it right I still consider that cheap.  So for a high of around say 65 bucks including the mount you should be able to mount your scope. That is not bad considering it cost me 75 bucks to get a peep sight installed  on a Mauser with the peep sight that cost 35 bucks. And I did not complain about that one bit.  :grin:   Jim
