Primitive Biathlon - FEB 26/27 in Manchester, VT

A timed run/walk through wooded trails while stopping at designated shooting stations to compete amongst your peers. There will also be separate BP sporting events held.

Participants to use wooden snowshoes and muzzleloading rifles with patched roundball. Period 18 & 19th century dress is encouraged. Held rain, snow, or shine.

:D Crow-Feather.  Also you might attempt to refrain from chewing gum.  I tried that while hunting rabbits with my .32 and spent more time onna ground looking up then I did looking inna brush.  Strange how that happens.        stay safe..King........I am going to have to see if some of the guys up here might want to try that biathalon thingie.  To me it looks like a real great time,now have to convice some others also

I was in one of those in Steamboat Springs Colorado a few years back.
This biathlon was like the Olympics, on skis. You skied a 1 km course and then took 3 shots. One km on cross country skis is enough to get you panting real good.
You had to ski the course 3 times. The targets were 3 inch sugar cookies glued to a piece of cardboard.
That was fun!
Aim small don't miss.
