The Westernization of Iraq?
« on: February 04, 2005, 10:42:04 AM »
I've been doing some thinking about how our sustained presence in Iraq is going to impact the country for years to come.

Do you think Christianity will take a hold?

Do you think those gals will start wearing miniskirts?

The population now has Internet access over there.

Do you think the Muslim faith is so strong that they will remain a Muslim nation forever?

Hmmmmm......

Do you think Micheal Moore will become popular there?

Michael Moore is already in the Prime ministers cabinet over there.  Extremeists muslims are like Nazis, a little brain washing goes a long way.  Westernization is a long way off.  I am currently writing a book on brainwashing, and it is suprisingly simple.  Here is a little sample for you:

Most cults get started by doing a small favor to a new family that has moved into town and has no friends.  The non-offending "church" continues these favors in a non-chalant way and before you know it, these people feel like they owe something to the church...TaaDahhh!!! A door is open.  If anyone would like to hear more about this, I will be free to elaborate.

Most sensible thing we could do would be to hang a DirecTV satellite over the Middle East and back off for 20 years. Because it is sensible, we won't do it.

The absolute worst thing we could do would be to send in Christian missionaries. Folks don't like having their religion messed with. Put yourself in theer shoes for five minutes and think of how you would react if an occupying army forced Moslem missionaries on you.
It is the duty of the good citizen to love his country and hate his gubmint.

Iraq, and Iran too, have been heavily influenced by Western culture for a very long time without losing their Moslem faith.  Most of the people love it (privately).  It's the Mullahs and the reactionary fanatics that have started this backlash against anything modern and western.  They see no middle way and think the Caliphate (ref: Taliban) is the only valid system.

Why is that?... I'll tell you why, because that is the only way that they can maintain control over the people. I doult that it has muc,h if anything, to dowith their (the Mullahs) undying devotion to their faith. Note that Sadam didn't go out in a blase of glory dying for Allah.  He hid in a hole like the cowering rat that he is.

The population now has Internet access over there.

In time, their government will follow the same path as the Chinese and restrict access to any materials that do not reflect their political or religious philosophy.

Do you think the Muslim faith is so strong that they will remain a Muslim nation forever?

YES

Hmmmmm......

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.
