Bisley Vaquero 5 1/2" - need crossdraw holster
« on: February 05, 2005, 02:04:11 AM »
Do any of you carry your Vaqueros on a regular basis? I have a .357 mag and a SBH Hunter .45 colt that I carry but am now wanting to carry my .45 colt Vaquero at times too. I am not too fond of the nylon holsters but would like something like I got for Christmas for my SBH Hunter from Ruger that was made by Galco. Just thought maybe some of you had something else you really liked. I would appreciate any ideas ....

Try San Pedro Saddlery's Tom Threepersons crossdraw. You have to wait a little while for him to make it, but it's worth the wait. A beautiful piece of leather.

I bought a Triple K holster for my 4 5/8" blackhawk. When it first came in it did not fit all that well. I soaked it in rubbing alcohol, put the revolver in a plastic bag and inserted it into the holster. I did some light boneing with the cap off of a Bic ink pen. When the holster dried it was a perfect fit and the price was right.
