I have a Norenco 1911A1, which is a fine shooter and very reliable. I'd like to add a beavertail safety and other items to "enhance" it's form and function. Everywhere I read, it states that some triming or fitting is necessary on the receiver.. ...what kind of work are they talking here?
Also, how hard is it to change the trigger, hammer, sear, and other internals?
I'm looking to relace the barrel too to a 6" unit that I can port to match my compensator bushing. ..not looking to spend a bundle on a "match grade" barrel-just not necessary for me or my wallet.
One other thing.. carrying with one in the chamber": cocked and locked, or bad idea??
