Ok fellas since its so quiet I take some time to let you guys in on whats goin on

 I am still waiting on ups to deliver handguns and rifle.. I think I could have made them myself as long as this is takin...    Hopefully the end of this week.
  Next shoot is 3 days away and I am already seeing the stage setups in my head. Trying to remeber what I need to do different this time...
  I have fooled around and got another shotgun.. found a 1897 in a gunshop, this thing has a 32" barrel. I have never seen on with a 32" barrel before.  I keep going out to the shop to chuck the barrel up in the band saw but I just cant do it.....silly huh.  I got some dummy rounds made up so I can practice loading the 97.  Sure is tricky sometimes but I am gettin the hang of it.
  Ok who goes around the house wearing your leather with guns on.  I have them on now . every now and again I draw and dryfire at something.  Of course its not loaded.....My kids look at me awful funny though.  My son cant wait until he is old enough to shoot.  
  The guncart has moved from design stages to aquiring materials.. I have the aluminum panels for the sides.  I found some old wheel chair wheels that look just like wagon wheels.  My wife saw it mocked up in the shop and started laughing...what the heck is that ...  if she only knew.
  I think Ill take pictures of it as I go along  and find a way of posting them so you guys can see it.   I already have a name for it....WAR WAGON,   I am sure you guys have all seen the John Wayne movie by that name...  I think its almost that big.  The aluminum will really keep the weight down though.
  I found all the parts to the Dillion so I got it mounted to the bench today and Ill load ammo tommorow.
  I am still finding good deals on clothing at resale shops and Goodwill.  I cant believe people get rid of such good clothes... I must be a bad dresser. Most of the clothes on the racks at goodwill are better than the ones in my closet....go figure.

  Ill close for now....if you guys have any pointers for me holler and once again the invitation is open to come and shoot with us.

I have traded for and bought  5 1/2 "  Stainless Bisley Vaqueros in 45 Colt.  I got  a smokin deal on one and traded for the other..Hopefully Ill like the grip. I guess if I dont someone will want to trade me?

Heyya Caleath

                     Which shotgun are ya gonna use this weekend?  If it is the SXS practice loadin and unloadin it.  Seen a demonstration of SXS/Mod 97 and for four rounds a SXS seems to stay up with the 97.

                      Are ya practicing your crossdraw dance?  If not think about it.  If you shoot the SXS clean the chambers with a 12 ga bore mop each time at the oadin table afore you go up to shoot.

Thanks for the info pard....I think Ill mix it up some. Both of my 97s have the long barrels still. I am going to try and find one that has short barrels and give it a try before I cut mine down.. I would like to try a SXS before I commit to that one too.  
As to the crossdraw dance  I have tried it some. I am thinking of starting the pistol part from the crossdrawn side...who knows....

Hey D.B.,

Don't you be cuttin' on those barrels!!  I think the long barrels balance better and you if you miss you can just poke that thing out there and knock them over!! :)  

I have been looking for one for my wife, but everything around here that is in decent shape is going for $450-600.  These darn cowboys are just runnin' the price up. :wink:

These darn cowboys indeed. Went out and got real jobs and don't know what to do with all the money! That's never a problem for real cowboys, only those of us that play at it.

I like the journal. I like this forum too. Everybody's in a good mood.
