Wood vs Synthetic Handi rifles.

It seems to me that the synthetic Handi Rifles that I have had, take less fooling around with the forend to get them to shoot well. Is this just a case for my rifles or has anyone else had the same expierence? I have never had to touch the forearm on any of my synthetics.
shot placement is everything.
