Dali Llama suggest that Shorty recall scientific maxim that correlation do not imply causation.

Guess I don't recall "giving" that forum to anyone. It has no moderator and while Dali posts there he is by no means the only one doing so. No one so far has stepped up and asked to be the moderator.

Actually....Today's Important News.....shouldn't it BE TODAY'S IMPORTANT NEWS?  Some of the stuff on here is a far stretch from what I would call Important News.  I am probably not the most credible person to be saying this because I tend to 'ramble' at times.  But I think if it is going to be filled with Humorous stories,  opinions, ramblings...and not contain 'pertinent topics' or important Breaking news...then it should either be renamed or scrapped.  I check GBO's posts a few times a day, by what is posted 'since my last visit', and sometimes these posts can be 4-5 pages of new posts and topics...well over 100 items.  I really learn a lot from reading all you guy's posts....but I don't think we need to fill it up with stuff that is of no consequence to people on this forum.  Just my humble opinion.
....make it count

Dali & Greybeard,
Perhaps shorty's attempt at sarcasm, irony, or just plain trying to be funny have failed.  I shall endeavor to add more winks and smiles in the future.

In this I would agree.......Me thinkest  I detect a weeee bit of jelousy in Robert post...perhaps the Honorable Dali Lama would reconsider the most worthy position of Moderator on this forum?

What's important to one person may not be to a other but who is to say what or what not consitutes a news story. Even Newspapers carry bits of humor at times wether it be intentional or not.

I saw no jealousy, just an opinion, like the rest of us have, AND have the right to have---now wheather it is intelligent opinion is another matter.

Such decision certainly not reside solely in hands of one poster, say Dali Llama.  :x

Perhaps jelousy wasn't the appropiate word... it was however my  opinion at the time I wrote it.....and while I do respect others opinions. I try not to dash them on the rocks unless they are doing a major disservice to GBO or posting dangerous mis-information to our forum members..........this forum does provide a great deal of content for all who wish to see it...and we do have the Pot Bellied Stove forum to discuss our own topics that don't fit in anywhere else...Dali Lama and a few others are taking the time to share a-lot of news and informational post...and should be commended for doing so...they have brought out some news worth items that otherwise wouldn't have been easily found by most  here...

I am Definately Jealous of Dali Lama...he is such a funny guy.  I have no problem with him whatsoever, and have always enjoyed his posts...well, most of them..Graybeard deleted a few last month before I got a chance to get in on the fun.  Ha Ha.  I definately agree....if he is up to the job, he certainly would be a good moderator for this forum if it is still in need.  My concern earlier is that we do not confuse 'Important News'  with 'Around the pot-bellied stove' or our other yak-yak threads.
