Let's see some small run variants...
« on: February 09, 2005, 12:47:53 PM »

It's seems Ruger is getting as bad as S&W about making small runs of non-stock items.

Here's a pix of my .45 Bisley in stainless, adj. sights, 5.5" bbl and non-fluted, engraved cylinder.

I did add the hard-rubber grips...

Any of you seen any other oddities out there?

Lot's of us have one of those, at least 500 of us at least.  :)  What are those grips? I've long wanted a rubber grip for the Bisley but never seen one until now. What the heck is it?

Did Ruger ever make a stainless version of the 357/9mm with 4-5/8" barrel?  I've never seen this variant and would like to know if it exists.  By the way, nice Bisley.

Chad Hiddleson is the editor for the Red Eagle News Exchange (RENE). A $25 subscription will get you a two volume reference manual with every known Ruger variation in all models. You also get a quarterly news letter with articles like the SHOT Show, Tulsa Gun Show, etc. I highly recommend RENE, even if you're just curious about when your gun was made. The references include all serial numbers and years of manufacture for all Ruger models.

The hard ones to track are the Davidson's and Lipsey's special order models. They are not cataloged items. Here's where it's nice to know if your gun is a factory original or if someone modified it.

You can contact Chad at CHRugers@aol.com if you are interested in a subscription.

Actually, I was informed that there was 1000-1200 of the 45lc models produced.  the .44 and .41 each were 1000 so I'm told.  yes they are nice.  Here's one of my 3:
