WLR primer, 95grs powder,  .060 poly wad, compress powder (with die) to allow bullet seating depth.  Use SPG lube, NOT smokeless lube.  Use a blow tube between shots.

By the way, 1F powder will kick less.

There is a wealth of info in the - World of Black Powder Cartridge Rifles, Loading, Shooting and Reloading section of this Forum, also the MSN BPCR Forum and the Shiloh Forum. Searches within Forums should help as the .45-110 pops up from time to time, with many guys shooting it. I have fired rifles in .45-110, but have not loaded for it. Dozer is right - 1f powder does kick less. good luck....

As much 2F compressed as you can get in the case and still seat the slug, a card wad, topped off with a 405 grain DD/PRS bullet lubed with either SPG or 50/50 lube. You can shoot this combination all afternoon without fouling out or losing accuracy.
Smokeless is only a passing fad!

Check out the forum at the Sholoh sharps web site:

There is a lifetimes worth of information there. The 45-110 guru is Kenny Wasserburger.
