I am thinking about trying Quick Release rings on my Huntsman with the std rail and hammer extention. The manufactures claim return to zero. I have never used these. The Burris QR ZEE rings look ok.

If not the QR then I am looking at the Burris Signature ZEE rings. I have never used these rings either.
Does anyone use either of these rings? Height is a BIG concern. Any comments (pro or con) on these rings or other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The ZEE Rings are solid as a rock and I have them on at least three of my H&R/NEF's. I have never had a problem with any of them and they hold ZERO. I have never tried their QR Rings but they should be solid.

Busta,

Are they SIGNATURE ZEE rings (with the inserts) or regular ZEE rings (with out the inserts). :?

And can you tell me what the height is of the ones you use?

The height will depend on the scope you choose, the diameter of the ocular end of your scope and hammer clearance. I have 2 sets of medium and 1 set of high. The high ones were used on a Bushnell Trophy with a large ocular. These are the regular ZEE Rings. Sure would be nice if H&R/NEF would lower the profile of the hammer spur.

Thanks Busta,

I appreciate the info. I know what you mean about the trophy's ocular diameter. Gona try the medium rings with a Nikon Pro staff 2x7. I never thought I would see the day I would spend more $$ on a scope than I did on a rifle :shock: :lol: but I figured a little more $$ gets FULL LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

I would have liked to see HR/NEF lower the hammer profile and get rid of the barrel hump when they came out with the Sidekick, that would have made the Sidekick a whole different animal with the newer sights. But don't get me wrong, I do realize they try to keep the price down :grin:
