.204

Got my .204 Handi back today. 3 Wks' to the day. I posted about this gun when I first got it. First 4 shot's out of a clean and polished bbl. KEYHOLED!!!
This one (bbl.) look's better then the one I sent back. First one looked like there was no rifleing first half of bbl!!!
Will try and get out this wk. end and shoot it. I bought 3 boxes of factory load's and I have 65 .222 Mag case's to fire form. That should be enough brass for these PA. hog's.LOL

Quickdtoo:
You had to ask!! I thought N.E.F. swaped out my bbl, but when I cleaned it and looked it over I saw it was the same one I sent back!!
They said they test fired it. Well so did I on Saturday. Same crap as last time. Out of 22 shot's, 10 keyholed and the rest scatterd all over. I could tell by the hole that the one's that didn't keyhole had bad bullet wobble.
Disgusted, yes. I'm sending it back tomorrow with a very explicet note
to them. If  I get the same bbl. back , what should I do.
I am really excited about this caliber but N.E.F. is making it hard to not get disgusted.

Send along with your note...a test target and lot # of the ammunition used...but I would call and tell them this prior to shipping it back...without alot of cursing and yelling  about it...yes...I know your ticked off...but being nice over the phone goes much further than yelling and screaming about it,it gets a-lot more done...ask like2hunt about his experiances with his 25-06 and their eventual buy-back of it and his 223 barrel that was fitted......you'll see what I mean...

Thought I'd post this cause I;m thinking of it. I worked in a gun store in 03 and part of 04. I seen all kind's of screwup's on brand new factory gun's. Thing's like wrong bolt for that gun, round's wouldn't chamber, couldn't get the saftey lock unlocked, etc, etc. Out of 17 gun's we sent back to factory, 15 were from same company. I won't say who but there logo color's are green & white. They have a big clothing line, have gun cleaning product's ,etc.
It's just my turn in the barrel. Wife and I are heading south for 4-6 wks. I'll have a gun to play with when I get back!!
Took my Rem. model 722, cal. 222 to range today. 1/2 to 3/4 inch group's as usual!! Hope I can get the .204 to do that someday. :-)  :-)

RoadKing,
You just might want to send in Xerox copies of your targets instead of the originals.  You might need them later.
