HARRIS BIPOD ON A HANDI
«

I mounted a Harris bipod on my superlight today. I thought it might make it easier to teach my kids to shoot with versus shooting off the bench. At first I though it would make the gun feel really off balance but it does not and it actually snugs down real well on that skinny fore arm. Has anyone found it to make a difference in terms of accuracy?

My 223 Ultra loves a bipod, and its the only way it will produce 1/2 groups. I floated the forend with a business card just in front of the mounting lug,and it all came together them. Digger

Floating the barrel is nothing more than providing space between the barrel and the wooden forend. I just put a card or strip of a card between the barrel and forend at the mounting lug,and then see if you have enough space between the barrel and forend to slide a dollor bill or something else between the barrel and forend all the way to the card. Hope this helps. Digger
