I raised so much interest with the first I thought I might try another.
In the last several years Catfishing has regained the popularity that it had 30 or so years ago when people catfished for food. Now days we have learned to catch and release and to selective harvest of the fish that we do want to keep. It has gone through the phases including the Jug Fishing phase which left alot to be desired. More and More rod and reel anglers are making their mark in the catfishing arena, and the age old art of Limblining and Trotlining that once were so looked down upon are regaining popularity. New ideas and creations are flourishing in the catfishing realm. But it seems that Ole Mr.Whiskers hasn't gotten popular with the female anglers, they seem to still be the minority in the catfishing of today. I remember growing up my grandmother would sit on the bank hours on end catching catfish that she would fix for sunday supper about once a month. My friend that I grew up withs mother was the first I was ever around that practised catch and release. She would spend all day at Goosepond Colony in Scottsboro,Alabama and catch dozens good sized cats with her secret dough bait she made. Maybe thats the next phase Women Catfish anglers showing the CPR mentallity and taking the Sport of catfishing to the next level...Just my thought on the subject Tight Lines All.
