A question about long range accuracy.

I've never shot at anything over 200 yards but I've been told that at Camp Perry and other places they shoot out to 1000 yards.  What is the tighest group at 1000 yards you know of and what caliber was used?

Not sure what the existing record is, but here's some reading that will enlighten you. Don't know what happened, but it's hard to read. You can make it out though. A 4" group...not too shabby.

Here is an interesting article from 6mmbr.com.

A 4.2 "  10 shot group at 1000, with a 6BR of all things. Claims to be the new world record.
