Question for LIKE2HUNT
« on: February 13, 2005, 07:59:30 AM »
LIKE2HUNT:
Could you tell me a little about N.E.F. buying back your gun. I have a NEW .204 with a bad bbl. I'm sending it back for the second time. They tell me they test fired it  and sent it back to me. I shot it again and half the bullet's keyholed and the other half  had bad bullet wobble!!!
I'm calling CS tomorrow and in a nice way explain the problem. :(  :(

Here's a link to the original post about the whole ordeal.........

Mac's advice about not getting too forceful or implolite is very good advice indeed. I tried that once during the whole thing and got nowhere, I did get the furtherest when I implied that I was at the end of my rope and ready for a refund or a replacement. After you read my post you'll see that the replacement wasn't satisfactory so they just , I think coincidentally, gave me a full refund. If you act like you are knowledgable but not a know-it-all I think that will work in your favor also as they will realize that they cannot simply "pat you on the head" and get by with that. Note that my problems had nothing to do with accuracy but were safety related. All I can say is plead your case as knowledgable and polite as possible, but do ask for a replacement or a refund. Be very patient and if at some point you get thru to "John" you have overcome your biggest obstacle. John is the Customer Relations manager, or something like that, has a lot of pull tho and he was the one responsible for getting me both the replacement receiver and the eventual refund. Good luck and blessings friend.  :D  Hope your ordeal comes out as good as mine did.
