H&R 088 ? What is it worth?

I have a chance to buy  a Harrington and Richardson model 088 12 ga 3" Full choke shotgun.  The serial Number starts with BA.
How old is it and about what is is worh?

Unless it's gold plated or was owned by a famous person the value is not much. These guns are shooters, so if it's in good shape thats what you should do with it. In the faq on the CF board I think there is a list of serial number prefixes and dates.
