Hi i have a Remington 700 ADL 22 250 with a Nikon 4.5x14x40mm scope i love the gun for coyote hunting i have the same gun in a 223 my friend has shot it more than me i have only shot it 3 times until Monday both guns have been work over by a gun smith the load for the 22 250 is
Brass Win
powder Varget 36.5grs
Bullet Nosler 55gr BT
primer Win

load for the 223 is

brass FED
powder AA 2015 25.0grs
bullet Nosler 50gr BT
primer Rem. BR
i know what the 22 250 will do to coyotes out to 300 yrds i took the gun to the range Monady the 223 and shot it and i like it alot i want to start dog hunting with it some my Q is will this load do good on a coyote out to 250 to 275 yrds i like the little gun because when you shoot it the target dont move out of your scope VM  :roll:

You will probably even find yourself using it out to further distances!

If it's just a lighter loading you are seeking, just change the powder and charge to take your 22-250 to 223 performance.

Hi i was thinking about using 223 because all it is doing is catching dust in the gun rack i can pick the places i hunt to keep the shots under 300 yrds if i use the 223 and the load and at that range do you think that is a good load that will put a dog down good VM

:D varmit_master. I too own both a .22-250 and two .223's. I never shot a coyote with the .223, but have killed several deer at 200 yards, so I can't see why it wouldn't work, as long as the wind isn't blowing too bad. In my experience the difference between these two rounds is the .22-250 has about 100 yards more range. In other words 300 yard performance with the .22-250 is the same as 200 yards with the .223.

I know what a varmit is because i misspelled it because somebody was using ( varmint) i hope that is OK VM
