Larry I tryed to find one a while back everyone suggested Eds.What I did for my 44 was take a super 14 back plastic forend cut it off right behind the forward screw, milled a slot to fit a  cut off pachmyer hanger bar and glass bedded it ,looks bitchin. but more work than its worth and man does that 8 in 44 mag kick.

Thanks, that does sound like a lot of work.  guess I'll give Ed a call and see what he has in stock.  I guess I could also call Georgia Jim and see if he can help me.

Larry, you need to find one that weighs about 5 pounds.   :)   That might tame that barrel a little.  I've got one of the old 8 3/4" ( without the external choke ) octagon .45Colt Hot Shot barrels and there ain't a mule on this planet that can kick like that thing.  And that was way back before I got old and turned into such a WHIMP.  Good luck with it anyway.  Walt   :)
