I'm for a medallion on the pistol grip or a curved one to fit on the lower edge of the stock.I'd like it thin with 2 holes for screws, brass and mallable. In fact H&R should have them in the acc. catalog.

I think someone with the neccessary $ should just make the orders and sell them for a reasonable proffit. I've contemplated it but convincing my wife that anything involving guns and the internet combined is going to do anything but cost us money would be hard. Maybe a retired guy with a few$ and i little extra time might take this on. Maybe a retired law enforcement officer with a little experience in organisation and trading H&R /NEF stuff on the internet should take charge of this project.

I was on a bit of a internet break, and missed this post. I have to say it's one of the best ideas I've seen in quite a while. The idea is unique and serves to further join a once scattered group of H+R/NEF fans. If it is dead, it truly deserves to be mourned.

Well I was thinking that just maybe a man of your talents might be able to pull it off. I've considered doing it myself but between work , family and settling my Dad's estate I've just got to much going on.

:D , Hi Grampa Mike,  thats pretty good!!! There are some here that requested the word "anonoymous" but deleted. How about replacing it with " Handiholics, One and All", or "Handiholics, a (or the) Brotherhood", or "Handiholics, for one and all!!" ?
What program do you use when designing the prototypes? Thanks....<><....

I have to say, I am more a fan of the "Graybeard Outdoors" along the top, and my choice for the bottom would be "Handiholics Anonymous".

But that's just my two cents, figure, if you don't speak up, you got no room to whine abou the outcome.

:D , Pretty darn good!!! Change "Cannot own just one" to Can't own just one" (cannot looks to much like carrot) and change "in our Handi's we trust" to "In God we trust" and as soon as I scrape up the funding I may be (easily) talked into handling the project. What say you, my brother Handiholics?....<><....

My idea is to order 1.25" coins, (not a current offering have to ask about the possibility) the same size at the current H&R buttstock medallions. A question still about one sided or 2 sided coins. One sided would allow for custom engraving for those that were not mounted into stocks, used for key chains, pocketwatch fobs, pocket good luck pieces etc...2 sided would be all set for any use and either side could be shown on the stock. I am leaning to a 2 sided coin even though it might be a couple of bucks more. I still think $10-$12 per coin should even cover a 2 sided coin with color and all the bells and whistles. I am however against enameled color because it just flakes off. A nice Brass or pewter coin with an edge rope style filigree would be very tasteful...My thoughts for what they are worth....<><....

You should not put the Handi before God. Kinda reminds me of one of those "thou shalt nots" the way it is written.

Sorry to be the wet blanket guys.

The right side "In...Trust" is too busy now, and I don't know that taking a US Treasury "logo" and altering it is such a good idea. Leaving as the original might work.

And having "Brotherhood..." and "I am..." on the same face is a little redundant, don't you think?

I agree with both above, "In God we trust" is fine and Handiholic(s) twice is a bit redundant....<><....

GrampaMike:  Looks good.  I like it.  Show support for the website.

MSP:  Go for it.  I'm also in for the trinkets, if they become available.  How much assistance do you need with funding?

Looks good to me also. After a little more feedback, calling the company and crunching the numbers i'll let everyone know if I can do it and if not the leg work will be mostly done....<><....

Hey, why don't we change the pictures of the Handis to one with a laminated stock and the other one a Survivor, or a fluted Varmint, or .....   Just kidding, guys :)   I like this last rendition - very nice job, GrampaMike.  I would be in for one or two myself.

PS: Sorry, put Grandpa instead of Grampa... all fixed now

This is the one that gets my vote also.  The others are too busy looking. Remember the actual coin will only measure 1.5" in diameter so the more you try to cram on there the smaller the letters will have to be.

MSP - May I suggest that you set up a pole to find out how many will commit to ordering this design and what quantity?    I would go for a couple myself if the total cost was around $10 a piece with shipping.

Something just occurred to me.

Neither of my guns were manufactured in 2005 as I'm sure most everyone else's aren't either.  I joined GBO in 2004 when the old H&R/NEF forum was closed as did many of you.  So the date is kind of meaningless. What about eliminating the date or at least changing it to 2004 to reflect when the new HER/NEF forum was established on GBO?
