« on: February 19, 2005, 04:15:54 PM »
I would like to get a 204 CZ varmint, and was wondering if anyone who has one could let me know how it shoots, is the stock just like the American or is it different. Please be honest if you dont like it let me know why. Thanks and GOOD LUCK

I love the cz guns.  the varmit is a good choice.  They are accurate guns, but are not any more accurate than anything else.  The reason I love cz's is becuase of the set triggers on many of their guns.  They have the standard trigger if you like it a little heavier (about 5 pounds), or you just push the trigger forward after closing the bolt, and you have a light (about 1-2 pound trigger) which I love for better accuracy.
Accuracy doesn't come from the arrow, it comes from the Indian!

Not a Ruger 204 but I have a CZ Varmint w/kevlar stock in 223, the stock is set up for varminting so it is different from the American, very accurate rifle. I have set the single set trigger to about 2.5 pounds and have no take up, it breaks clean and no overtravel.
Also have a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62X39 and Lux in 223, all fine rifles.
