2005 National Turkey Federation Conference @ Nashville TN
« on: February 20, 2005, 04:42:02 AM »
I am new to turkey hunting. Was wondering if anybody made it to Nashville Opryland Convention Center this week for the NTWF annual conference. I paid $20 for a 3 day pass for just the exhibits and the talks. I only went on Friday and did the exhibits. I did notice that you could get a 1 day pass for $8 at the door although I did not see that option on the internet. Free parking if you parked by the Mall but if you parked at the convention center they wanted $8 a day. They had a Bass Pro shop at the mall which was fun to visit during lunch.  Suppose to have been 400 exhibits and 30,000 visitors. Had bull riding, archery range and air rifle for the kids plus other stuff. I saw some good deals on calls and stuff even with TN high sales tax figured in. Could not sell guns there though.  Most major firearms manf were represented. What was really cool was having knowledgeable people show you how to work the calls and stuff.

Suppose to be at the same place and dates next year. Was wondering who went this year, what did your think and who would be going next year.

I went. Had a good time. It was too crowded though.
