best powder for .223 and 50 grainers?

Right now I'm using Varget, and the velocity just isn't there.  My gun is the handi with 22 inch barrel.  The load is 26 grains of Varget, 50 v-max, Rem 7 1/2 primers, Winchester cases.  My velocity readings are all over the place, but probably average around 2,900 f/s.  

Could someone please clue me in to another powder that generally produces better velocity with decent accuracy.

Not in a Handi, but I had really good luck with BL-C2 and H335 in my 223.

My ultra in 223 with 25.5gr of H322 and 40gr Hornady ballistic tips is in the 3400fps catagory, accuracy is good, better than the same bullet and H335 gave me.
