screws for hanger on pachmyer forearm?
« on: February 20, 2005, 10:26:05 AM »
Just picked up a jdj 45-70 14" satin barrel and pachmyer forearm on E-bay and it didn't include the screws to mount the hanger bar.  Seller told me they weren't included (nonported barrel kicks like a mule).  I was wondering if anyone could tell me the exact size of screws needed to attach hanger bar to barrel  (it would probably be frowned upon to take barrel into Lowe's and try to fit it myself).
Thanks in advance,
Joe

Joe,
Dont take your barrel into Lowes, just go in and get some 10-32 x 3/8" screws and you should be in business. Ilike the socket head cap screws and they should have them in both blue and stainless.

THANK YOU!
Figured this would be the quickest way to get correct answers.  I had considered  the allen head or torx screws before even posing the question, but questioned if a need would ever arise (in the field) where I may not have access to the proper tools.  A pocket knife can double as a flat head screwdriver. :-)
