Scope rail for handi?
« on: February 20, 2005, 04:06:47 PM »
Does anyone have the weaver scope rail Number ? Are all the handis drilled for the same rail . I am looking at the weaver chart in the midsouth catalog and i beleive its # 82 can anyone verify this for me. I know i can order one from NEF but they want 18.99 and it sells in midsouth for onlt $5.10 Its for the 45/70 handi rifle. Thanks Tanoose

The weaver #82 is the right rail, but it only has 2 cross slot positions, you can cut more with a file and a bit of elbow grease, though...

I have come out better by getting scope rails from NEF rather than looking for weaver rails! NEF scope rails have multi cross slots,
You can adjust for eye releaf better. Just MHO, Marv
