1903A3 stuck cartridge case
« on: February 21, 2005, 04:25:18 AM »
I need some help removing a fired cartridge case.  Does anyone have a good idea about removing this.  I can close the bolt ( with some effort) on the case but it won't eject it.

Thanks

Push it out with a cleaning rod inserted through the muzzle.

Got it!  It wasn't easy at all and ended up ruining my cleaning rod but it is out.  My son put a tracer round in and it stuck.  All is well now.  Thanks.

You might want to give the chamber a good cleaning with a over size brush. A lot of times folks clean the bores and neglect the chambers as they are over size of the bore and a bore brush or patch never touches them. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Thanks for the advice.  The chamber looks like it could use some extra cleaning.  My dad bought this rifle and gave it to my son a few years back.  It has seen much action lately.  The rifle has seen it share of deer and coyote hunting in its time though.  I've seen my dad cut down a running coyote at  400 yds with it more than once.
