Naaah it aint over, just postponed. I hear Lee and Grant are duking it out on celebrity poker, Hooker was....ummm...well lets just say he was on the wrong side of the TV show COPs, Jefferson Davis is on Fear Factor, and I think Lincoln is about to win the "Americas Top Model" contest on UPN38! :-D

It just may be that the recent unpleasantness has made the previous conflict pale somewhat to the recent and bitter devisiveness that has overtaken our country and our kinfolk and our fair land. I refer to the bitter and hateful conflict between the reds and the blues. Never has so much hatefullness and lies, I say lies!!! Been in the public discourse. It may take years for the ferment to calm and let all return to discussion of truly engaging discussion of the conflict of all times. JB

If'n your gonna "stir the pot" - I'd be hopin it's black eyed peas and ham, with the cornbread cookin on the griddle.

I'm havin pintos with fried taters, brocolli and cheese, and of course - cornbread, Southern style, for my grits tonight, here on Maui.

I'd gladly send you some - I've eaten MRE's, and they just don't give ya enough of that "tabasco" stuff ta hide the taste! M(eals) R(efused) by E(thiopians)!

I'm not lookin forward to another season of "brown bags and rainbow meat" myself - but it pays the bills.

I am waiting for the reds (interesting how red has always been the color of the left until the last couple of election maps) to try to make California its own country because they don't like the majority of blues telling them that socialism is for fools. Then things will become exciting.

GGaskill, it is entertaining as well, not long ago a true West Coast Red, (note capital R) Ed Asner spoke, "I think Stalin was under rated and under appreciated" I guess that would not be people who judge murder and genocide? On those counts he rates right up their with Po Pot and Adolph. Actually I think, he leads the pack. More and more I think a large percentage of todays Socialists are nuvo communists who are afraid of guns themselves and refuse to take up arms like the good little traverlers that went to Spain in 1938. But I think at their core they are still communists. JB
