Depends on what you are loading for. Some powders are better for certain applications than others. Best to look at a shotshell reloading handbook to get an idea what I mean.
Simple 12ga, 2-3/4" target loads in 1oz or 1-1/8oz.... Clays powder is hard to beat. Very clean. Green Dot is another fine powder.
