Sounds like a deal. My first 45 was a SA 1911....way back when. I sold it after it kept failing to feed. New to 1911s and did know how to tweek it. Afterwards, I bought two more and used them for many years in USPSA/IPSC competition. They functioned perfectly! Recently sold one to a friend, but will probably buy it back for my son. The other is already claimed by my odlest son. I have replaced the inners over the years. Mainly out of "competition" prep and not due to failure. About two years ago, one failed to extract. The extractor tension was gone. A field stripping at the range and a pair of vise grips was all that was needed to revive the tension and it still functions flawlessly.
After all that, I'd recommend getting it. If for nothing else, you get a forged frame and slide for a bargain price. The remainder can be replaced inexpensively with CMC (McCormick) parts. Oh, Dan Wesson has a special on their match 45 barrels for $69. Check their website. I picked up a similar deal from SA a few years ago and turned a "good" shooter into a "great"shooter.
