Lots of discussion these days about stocks and forends. Those of you that have purchased the factory Mannlicher forend- have any of you contacted Gunstocks, Inc about making one in purtier wood? I would really like to have a Mannlicher but not in pallet wood. I sent them an email but haven't heard anything back yet.

I don't know about gunstocks, inc., but I plan on talking with the folks at Boyds in SD. They got a stock duplicating machine and great prices...

The only thing I could see that H&R offered was a full length forend with a barrel band, I got a true Mannlicher forend from Gunstocks Inc. that takes a nose cap, I suppose you could put a barrel band on it instead of a nose piece if you just wanted a full length forend.

roostertails- the Mannlicher with nose piece is exactly what I want. Did you buy yours from Gustocks, Inc? Do they have them in stock or was it a special order? I like the nose piece much better than their plastic barrel band.
