1st Gen SAA

Hello to all...............Does anyone have any ideas as to where, on the net hopefully, I might be able to view a picture of Colt's Single Action Army; serial # 1, or other 1st gen SAA's? I'm trying to get a good example of the top of the hammer, as it follows the radius of the topstrap, at the rear of the cylinder frame. I know some of the 1st gen. hammers are contoured that way, altho some I've seen were not. Do you think I should contact Colt directly? The reason I'd like this is to show the guys at U. S. Firearms & see if they might be able & willing to duplicate it on an SAA I might buy from them. Thanx for your feedback. jd45

Go to    gunsamerica.com      It's a for sale board and is very well laid out.  Colt SAA's are segregated as to generation and often have pictures accompanying the ad, sometimes some very good pictures.  I don't know if you can see what you want from them but it's worth a look.  That's the only place I can think of at the moment but there have to be others.
