question regarding bell and carlson stocks
« on: March 02, 2005, 06:13:16 AM »
i've read on the B&C site that if buying a carbelite stock for say a .7mm or .300 mag. that you need to purchase one with the "re-enforced lug" area. what do you think they mean buy that?  i was planning on purchasing one of there stocks for a rem 700. don't like the medalist stock. does rem. "re-enforce" the lug area on their magnum stocks? i don't claim to to know very much, but sounds like to me this means something to do with glass bedding.

I don't know how they reenforce the recoil lug area but its usually done by adding a cross bolt behind the recoil lug, thru the stock left to right.
