Model 25, Rocky Mountain Ram
« on: March 02, 2005, 03:34:56 PM »
I just bought a new model 25 (45 colt)that is marked "'Rocky Mountain Ram", "1 of 300" that has a full underlug 5" barrel. It has a beautiful dark blue frame and barrel and the cylinder is matte or brushed stainless. Purtiest handgun I've seen in a while. Had to buy it when I saw it even tho it was a bit pricey. Anybody seen any of these around? I am guessing that since there were only 300 made that maybe not many of you have.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

Dogshooter,

Is this a 25-9?

If you have the box is it marked production code number 100924?

Sounds like a beauty, if it is not the above marked item it may indeed be rare.  This one may be worthy of a letter from smith and wesson historian "Roy Jinks".

I do so love the balance of a 5 inch N frame.

Fred,
No, mine is a 25-13. I do have the box but it is at home and I am not. And I agree with you about the balance.

I've tried a couple of times to post my pix where I could upload them and so far, no luck. If you want to see it, I can send it to an e-mail address.

I just don't understand why the .45LC hasn't gotten it's just PR from the gun writers?
