Handi Ser.# and Receiver Markings
« on: March 03, 2005, 11:48:49 PM »
You know how it is when you are in a used shop.  If you don't know specifics of the model you want you may find it and not know it.  You know, the wrong barrel on a receiver, that type of stuff.  How can I tell if I am looking at a Handi frame with a shotgun barrel on it.  Can I tell by serial number on the frame, are there other markings to look for.  You just don't know the history on stuff you find used.  Is there a way to spot these differences in order to make a better buy or find a really good deal.

SB1 prefix is a shotgun frame, SB2 is a centrefire rifle frame. Lots info in the sticky FAQ thread above.

The last 3 numbers of your frames serial # is on the lug of the barrel...

Well look here!.........Another Okie Handi-holic! Welcome friend. Did ya get your Handi in PV or somewhere else. I know there is a great little shop there in PV inside the video store, Discount Guns I think. Best prices I've found on Handis other than Wally World. Ya gonna try the Prarie Dog shoot this June?
