Building an AR?

Has anyone done it?  Recommendations?  I don't think I want to tackle drilling holes in a cast or forged frame, so was thinking about a "stripped" frame.

Building an AR?

it's more like assembling, than building, if that makes sense.i did it, i assembled the lower, but bought the upper already put together.,as i didn't want to buy tools that i'd likely never use again.but you can put your lower together without special jigs or tools, and it's rather easy, if you use good parts.the worst part is the front takedown pin detent, and that would have been a breeze if i'd not gotten inj a hurry and made a little tool out of wood or plastic to do it!in fact, i shot mine today, with the first .223 reloads i ever put together.you'll have more of a problem getting crucial parts without months of waiting! seems they can't keep up production now that the ban is off...
