Was at a gun store yesterday and was told that they couldnt order Thompson Contender frames anymore :shock:  My questand is WHEN did our elected officials pass this dumb hair brain idea? Who are the morons that voted for them ? Guess what state I live in ?

Contenders have been gone from Kalif.
for 11 Years.
T/C won't submit them for drop testing, To much Money.
However you can get an Encore in Rifle configuration
Failure is not an option

The contender and encore can be purchased as a rifle only , They are legal to buy as a pistol in a  private party transfer if it was regerstered as handgun in CA. previously . I have bought 2 contender pistols this way .

There is a version of the contender that is on the curio and relic list , chambered for the 30 herrett . There is a contender dealer that handles them but I cant recall who .
