Any one have a good load for this round using 60 grain bullets? I will be using an 18 inch contender barrel.

What is the twist rate of your barrel??? Unless it a special order faster than normal twist it probibly won`t shoot 60 grn. pill worth a crap. I have a .222 short barrel and I`m useing 40 grn. pills in it. Better accuracy, better terminal preformance and longer ranges. Unless your want to shoot steel with it I would recomand going to a liter bullet.

It's a 1 in 12. it shoots the 50 and 55 grains just fine. i just want to try the 60's to scratch an itch and see what they will do.

Then go for it, you`ll only be out the price of a box of bullets. I would guess that you will get your best accuracy with very slow loads, and they won`t be to good. Post your results if you try them, I was never able to get any knid of a group with 60 grn. bullets, I never had one with a twist faster that 1 in 12 eather.
