Shell Holder Question
« on: March 05, 2005, 05:37:50 AM »
I have an old Lyman All American Turret Press and need a new shellholder for my 475 Linebaugh. The old shell holders I have are much longer than the newer ones with a hole in the shaft for the allen head set screw. Will the new RCBS shell holders work in this press?

Another question is why does RCBS have a special shell holder for the 475, won't a 45/70 shell holder work as the 475 is based on 45/70 brass?

Thanks,
Erick

Lyman makes an adapter to accept conventional shell holders and it goes in the hole of your "J" type shell holders. you need to fasten each shell holder with an allen set screw but you'll be able to use all the short shell holders.
