92 Win in 218 Bee
« on: March 05, 2005, 09:53:57 AM »
I have a chance to buy a 1892 Win in 21I know it8 Bee for $800.
in 3 has been rebarreled but the rest of the gun is 95% or so. Never been reblued and still has 80% blue left on the reciever and butplate. Wood is really pretty decent and I'm not looking for a collector piece just a good sound shooter. Ser # is 507xxx which puts in the early 1900's. Its not a SRC but, does have a barrel band.
Anyway what do you think? Pass or pick it up? Thanks

If i should decide to get it does anyone know where I could get an original barrel 32-20 or 25-20 ?

That sounds a little high to me for a rebarreled 218 bee. Expecially if
you want to rebarrel it to 25-20 or 32-20. The last two 92's I bought
were a 25-20 for 425 and a 25-20 that had been redone into a 357 mag
for 500.
If you are wanting a 25-20 or 32-20 a would take the 1100 dollars
that you would of had in that one after rebarreling and fine one in VERY
NICE shape first.
